About CineVerse
CineVerse is a UK film discovery guide: we help you find out about films — cast, trailers, scores and where to watch them legally in the UK — and we publish what other people thought of them.
What CineVerse is
- A catalogue of film information: cast, crew, release date, running time, genres and age rating.
- A place to read official trailers, loaded only when you choose to play them.
- A guide to where a film is available in the UK, with links to the sources that provide that data.
- A place where members write reviews and scores.
What CineVerse is not
- It is not a streaming service. There is no player, no film files and no embedded films.
- It does not host or link to unauthorised or pirate sources.
- It is not affiliated with any studio, distributor or streaming platform.
How CineVerse works
- CineVerse is an aggregator. We do not make films, we do not sell access to them and we hold no catalogue of our own: the facts on a film page are assembled from third-party sources, and each source is attributed on the page where it appears.
- Film and TV information comes from TMDB (The Movie Database). The score shown on a film is TMDB's audience score, exactly as TMDB reports it.
- UK availability — where a film can be streamed, rented or bought — comes through TMDB, from JustWatch. Availability changes without notice, so check the service itself before you pay for anything.
- Trailers are hosted by YouTube and are loaded only when you press play. Until then no request is made to YouTube.
- Anything on a page can be wrong or out of date. If something looks wrong, tell us with the form on our contact page and we will look at it.

How the scores work
- The score on a film page is TMDB's audience score, shown exactly as TMDB reports it.
- A community score is the average of the reviews published here on CineVerse. It appears only once a film has been reviewed, and it is separate from the TMDB score.
Reviews and moderation
- Reviews are written by people who use CineVerse. A review is checked by a moderator before it appears, and it can be reported afterwards.
- We remove spam, advertising, personal information, unlawful content and links to sources that show films without permission. Our moderation policy explains what we remove, how to report something and how to appeal a decision.
